Habitat for Humanity Tucson
Habitat for Humanity is one of Tucson’s most important housing resources and a highly valued community partner for SAHBA. Both volunteerism and fundraising for Habitat have been an ongoing SAHBA priority throughout the years.
Pima County JTED -
Joint Technical Education District
SAHBA works closely with PIMA COUNTY JTED to provide local high school students with free career and technical education for a head start on a profitable future in the construction industry.
Workforce Development -
HBI & JobCorps Training
Home Builders Institute (HBI) is an arm of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and provides construction industry training and workforce development nationwide. Locally, HBI partners with the Fred G. Acosta JobCorps Center to offer certificate programs and training in multiple construction trades, helping to connect skilled industry professionals with employers.

Construction Career Days
SAHBA is a founder and key sponsor of Southern Arizona’s premier educational and workforce development annual event – Construction Career Days. Alongside other industry partners like the Arizona Builders Alliance, Alliance for Construction Trades, and Arizona Transportation Builders Association, SAHBA introduces thousands of high school students to the many facets of the construction industry through hands-on demonstrations, heavy equipment operation, and professional networking opportunities.
Southern Arizona Defense Alliance
SAHBA has been an active member of the Southern Arizona Defense Alliance (SADA) since its formation in 2014. That participation has included serving on the Board of Directors (including a term as Board President) and thousands of dollars in financial support. Through SADA, SAHBA plays a key role in protecting and promoting Southern Arizona’s military and defense installations. SADA regularly engages military and Congressional leaders to ensure the long-term viability of the local installations including participating in trips to Washington D.C.
SAHBA Charity Golf Classic
Each year, SAHBA hits the links to raise funds for charitable organizations that serve the community and meaningfully impact local housing needs. Not only does this result in donations of tens of thousands of dollars annually, but also broadens awareness of the vital work performed by these community partners.
