SAHBA institute taking applications

The SAHBA Institute of Construction is accepting applications for the 2008-2009 class. The institute, created and managed by the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association, is a one-year, tuition-free trade school.

Students must be at least 18, drug-free, read and write English, and want full-time employment in the construction industry. They will receive classroom instruction as well as on-site, minimum-wage work in various fields. Classes begin in October.

Applications are available at SAHBA, 2840 N. Country Club, by calling 795-5114, or at sahba.org under Careers. Enrollment deadline is Sept. 15.
