We Help You Build a Strong Community

SAHBA partners with our members to support many local charitable agencies.

University of Arizona Arthritis Center
Since 1987, over $1.5 million has been raised to support arthritis research at the Center through the SAHBA/Lute Olson Celebrity Golf Tournament.

Habitat for Humanity
Each year, SAHBA supports this program by building a home for a low-income, working family. SAHBA also supports Builders of Our Future, a vocational program for high school students who build a Habitat House on their campus.

Fred G. Acosta Job Corps
Education, jobs and economic development are the focus of SAHBA's endorsement of this program to prepare young people for financially rewarding careers in construction.

Youth on Their Own
SAHBA supports this organization that specializes in school dropout prevention for homeless and near homeless youths. These young people are, for various reasons, on their own without parents. SAHBA's support helps them stay in school and graduate.

Hearth Foundation
SAHBA supports this organization that helps shelter homeless women with children, who are victims of circumstance, not drug- or alcohol-addiction.

Tucson Fire Fighters
SAHBA provides funding, and our leadership participates in various events with the firefighters to benefit their Adopt-A-Family program.

Chicanos por la Causa
SAHBA leadership participates and provides funding to support youth-at-risk programs.

American Red Cross
Sponsored events focus on emergency preparedness and lifesaving.

Boy Scouts of America
SAHBA sponsors a variety of events that raise funds for Scout programs.

Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona
SAHBA leadership participates and provides funding. Each year, a grant is awarded to a neighborhood volunteer who wins the SAHBA Neighborhood Award.

Habitat Protection and Restoration
SAHBA helps underwrite the Tucson Wildlife Center's efforts to rescue ill, orphaned, injured or displaced animals. SAHBA supports the building of new habitat for burrowing owls in conjunction with Arizona Fish & Game and Wild at Heart. The Tucson Cactus & Succulent Society benefits from SAHBA's support to relocate native plants from job sites.
