The Associates Council
To meet the needs of our Associate Members (those industry related
professionals not holding a Builders License), the Associates Council is
a new and integral group within SAHBA. This council develops programs,
events and services to support the goals and needs of this specific and very
important group of association members. Its primary goal is to increase
networking opportunities between builder and associate members.
The Associates Council meets at 8:30 am on the third Wednesday of each month in SAHBA's Board Room, unless otherwise specified. All members of SAHBA are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.
Getting involved in the Associates Council is a great way to meet other Associate members and to promote your company as well as yourself to the housing industry throughout Southern Arizona. In the coming months, the Associates Council will be:
-
Planning events that create networking opportunities for associate members, such as trade shows, General Membership dinners and other special events.
-
Teaching associate members how to maximize their membership.
-
Providing education, training, and skill building opportunities.
-
Making known the benefits and opportunities available to associate members and encourage the use of those services.
-
Encouraging participation in other committees and councils within SAHBA.
-
Promote the "Do Business with a Member" campaign and other
builder-associate activities. -
Reviewing builder and associate participation at events, and implementing programs that increase overall participation.
-
Overseeing a mentoring program that encourages leadership development and retention.
