Cochise home sales down, prices up

Home sales in Cochise County fell in 2007 but the median price rose slightly, according to a report from the Cochise College Center for Economic Research.

A total of 1,400 single-family homes were sold in the county during 2007, down 10.6 percent from 2006. The median price for the county last year was $195,000, up 1.3 percent from 2006. Benson had some of the highest prices, with the median at $218,035, up 32.1 percent from 2006. Douglas showed the lowest prices, with the median at $90,000, down 1.1 percent from 2006.
